Integrated management system (IMS) – QS, AS, US

Our many years of experience with regard to quality and environmental protection prompted the decision in 1993 to certify both of these aspects. An integrated management system (IMS) comprised of quality assurance, environmental protection and occupational safety was implemented for this purpose in 1994. The quality and environmental aspects were then quickly certified in 1995. The ISO 9001 quality standard was also certified for the first time in 1995 and has been constantly renewed since then.

In the case of EMAS (Environmental Management and Audit Scheme), previously also referred to as the Eco-Audit, CWS became the first paint factory in Europe to implement this management system.

Environmental management in accordance with ISO 14001 – Responsible Care (Chemical industry) – was integrated in 1998.

CWS was awarded in German Environmental Prize in 2001 in the area of Responsible Care. Data protection was also implemented in IMS at that time.

CWS was additionally awarded the Ethics Prize in 2005 for its efforts in the areas of personnel, environment, and exemplary organisation.
